ABOUT MORGAN
I was born and raised in Graham, a small town just northwest of here. I graduated from Graham High School in 2010 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in 2014 from Texas Tech University. After graduation, I earned my teacher certification and taught special education at a private school in Fort Worth where I loved being a part of my students' lives and having the opportunity to help and watch them grow.
In 2017, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child and I happened to come across a Facebook post about ISR. Until then, l was unaware that drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children ages 1-4. Before our son was even born, I had reached out to Kelsey Strieby, an ISR Instructor in Fort Worth, to enroll him in lessons. He had his first ISR lesson when he was 10 months old and within six weeks, he was able to independently and confidently float - before he could even walk.
During my son's session, I learned there was a need for an instructor here in Aledo. Kelsey was so helpful in making the decision to apply to become an instructor and was so encouraging throughout the process. I knew these lessons were the real deal, but seeing my own son develop a skill set that could potentially save his life was the most incredible feeling. We now have three little boys and we feel this is the best gift we could possibly give them. 2024 will be my sixth year to teach and I feel incredibly blessed to be able to provide these lessons to other families and to contribute to ISR's mission: "Not One More Child Drowns".
