Absolutely. $1,200 for life-saving lessons versus the stress and heartache of five days in the hospital, plus the $8,000 out of pocket that goes with it - it's a no brainer. Do the lessons. I am still paranoid beyond belief around water, but I rest so much easier knowing that if my child does fall in, she can get to her float and give me time to get to her.
